Panel Discussion on “Women at M.S.U. :Towards Dignified Campus”

Women’s Wing, Vadodara
organised a panel discussion on
“Women at M.S.U. :Towards Dignified
Campus” on 31st July 2013
which received an overwhelming
response as more than four hundred
participants including students,
members from the teaching
and non-teaching fraternity. The
panel discussion was chaired by
Prof. Amit Dholakia, OSD Registrar,
The M.S.University of Baroda and
the Vice President, MSVSS. Other
hon’ble panel members were Miss
Geeta Goradia- Syndicate Member
– MSU and President Federation of
Gujarat Industries, Prof.
Rameshwari Pandya – Syndicate
Member – MSU and Chairperson –
Child Commission – Gujarat, Miss
Madhavi Mogarkar- Rashtra
Sevika Samiti, Prant Karyawahika,
Ms. Chetana Chaudhari – Police
Inspector- Vadodara, Ms. Rashmi
Desai – Advocate- Gujarat High
Court.
Dr. Sweta Prajapati introduced
the organisation MSVSS
and its Women’s Wing and the
series programmes that were
organised by it in the past. She
stressed on the objectives of
MSVSS as “Rashtra ke hit me
Shiksha, Shiksha ke hit me
Shikshak, and Shikshak ke hit me
Samaj”. She also introduced and
welcome the hon’ble panel members.
Programme was co-ordinated
by Ms. Shetal Shinkhede.
Prof. Dholakia focused on
women’s dignity in higher education
and stressed that dignity is a
non-negotiatble value on and off
the campus. He stated that there
is a need to enforce right to equality
and dignity in academics and
administration at MSU. He reiterated
that fearlessness is the key………………..
