Women and Education

Ancient Bharatiyas did not treat woman as a different category
from man, as Plato did in Greece. For us, both woman and man are integral
part of complete whole which is exhibited through Bharatiya presentation
of “Ardhnariswara”. (We have many Ardhnariswara temples through
the length and breadth of our nation). For us, knowledge is for all those
who are interested and capable of, man
or woman does not matter. In our present
situation, we have to continuously make
serious efforts towards bringing women
education at par with men, as women in
Bharat were suppressed for over a thousand
years.
